The Northwest Texans basketball team (Justin, TX), was overwhelmed 53-19 in Friday's league battle with the host Granbury Pirates (Granbury, TX)
The Pirates now possess a 15-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Saginaw for a 5A Region I District 5 battle on Tuesday, January 9. Granbury will confront a Rough Riders team coming off a 37-36 league win over Azle (Azle, TX). The Rough Riders record now stands at 6-14.
The Texans (4-17) will now prepare for their battle against Rider (Wichita Falls, TX). The Raiders come into the 5A Region I District 5 battle with a 5-11 record. In their last battle, Rider was overwhelmed by Granbury (Granbury, TX), 47-36, in a league battle.
