In Tuesday's league outing, the Northwest Rankin Cougars (Brandon, MS) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Oak Grove Warriors (Hattiesburg, MS), by a count of 68-44.
The Cougars (19-10) will now prepare for their outing against Petal (Petal, MS). The Panthers go into the 7A Region 3 outing with a 10-14 record. In their last outing, Petal smashed Pearl (Pearl, MS), 46-39, in a league outing.
The Warriors now hold a 9-16 record. They play next when they travel to Wayne County for a non-league outing on Thursday, February 1. Oak Grove will clash with a War Eagles squad coming off a 47-21 league win over Gautier (Gautier, MS). The War Eagles record now stands at 17-6.
