In Tuesday's league outing, the Northwood-Kensett Vikings (Northwood, IA) basketball squad nipped the host St. Ansgar Saints (St. Ansgar, IA), by a margin of 56-49.

The Vikings (7-12) will now prepare for their outing against Belmond-Klemme (Belmond, IA). The Broncos go into the non-league bout with a 9-11 record. In their last bout, Belmond-Klemme held off West Hancock (Britt, IA), 48-30, in a league bout.

Next up, the Saints play the Newman Catholic Knights (Mason City, IA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 2. St. Ansgar will attempt to upgrade on its 11-8 season record. The Knights go into the bout with a 11-7 record after their 59-46 non-league loss to Central Springs (Manly, IA).
