The St. Ansgar Saints basketball team scored 51 points and held the host Northwood-Kensett Vikings to 41 in the Saints league triumph on Tuesday.
The Saints now sport a 6-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Newman Catholic for a non-league contest on Friday, January 5. St. Ansgar will meet a Knights team coming off a 47-40 non-league win over Central Springs (Manly, IA). The Knights record now stands at 5-3.
The Vikings (3-6) will now prepare for their contest against Riceville (Riceville, IA). The Wildcats enter the non-league contest with a 12-0 record. In their last contest, Riceville ran past Turkey Valley (Jackson Junction, IA), 48-31, in a non-league contest.
