Virginia High School Basketball - Deep Creek overwhelmed by Nansemond River

The Nansemond River Warriors basketball team scored 58 points and restricted the host Deep Creek Hornets to 35 in the Warriors non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Warriors now sport a 14-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hickory for a non-league contest on Friday, February 2. Nansemond River will battle a Hawks team coming off a 59-28 non-league loss to Western Branch (Chesapeake, VA). The Hawks record now stands at 3-10.
The Hornets (10-1) will now prepare for their contest against Currituck County (Barco, NC). The Knights come into the non-league contest with a 7-7 record. In their last contest, Currituck County triumphed over Camden County (Camden, NC), 59-52, in a league contest.
