The Monticello Mustangs basketball team (Charlottesville, VA), was nudged 36-30 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the host Louisa County Lions (Mineral, VA)
The Lions now possess a 10-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Freeman for a non-league battle on Thursday, February 1. Louisa County will battle a Mavericks team coming off a 48-28 non-league win over Hermitage (Richmond, VA). The Mavericks record now stands at 10-5.
The Mustangs (9-6) will now prepare for their battle against Albemarle (Charlottesville, VA). The Patriots come into the non-league battle with a 15-0 record. In their last battle, Albemarle edged Fluvanna County (Palmyra, VA), 60-35, in a non-league battle.
