Bishop O'Dowd Dragons (Oakland, CA) fans were thrilled Tuesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Castro Valley Trojans (Castro Valley, CA), 1-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Dragons confront the Mt. Eden Monarchs (Hayward, CA) in a challenge, on Thursday, February 1. Bishop O'Dowd will attempt to better on its 7-1 season record. The Monarchs enter the challenge with a 15-3 record after their 2-1 league win over Piedmont (Piedmont, CA).

The Trojans now have a 8-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Berkeley for a challenge on Friday, February 2. Castro Valley will confront a Yellowjackets team coming off a 9-0 league win over San Leandro (San Leandro, CA). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 16-0.
