Next, the Hornets confront the Cumberland Academy Knights (Tyler, TX) in a 4A Region 2 District 14 challenge, on Friday, February 2. Athens will attempt to move on its 5-4 season record. The Knights enter the challenge with a 4-5 record after their 3-0 league loss to Van (Van, TX).

The Bears now possess a 1-10 record. They take the field next when they host Bullard for a 4A Region 2 District 14 challenge on Tuesday, February 6.
