In Thursday's league test, the Maryvale Prep Matador (Phoenix, AZ) basketball squad knocked off the visiting Antelope Rams (Wellton, AZ), by a score of 74-64.

Next, the Matador encounter the Desert Heights Prep Yote (Glendale, AZ) in a 1A West test, on Tuesday, February 4. Maryvale Prep will attempt to improve on its 6-11 season record. The Yote come into the test with a 11-2 record after their 64-38 league win over Sequoia Pathway Academy (Maricopa, AZ).

The Rams (9-8) will now prepare for their test against Salome (Salome, AZ). The Frogs go into the 1A West game with a 7-15 record. In their last game, Salome was beaten by Bagdad (Bagdad, AZ), 58-31, in a league game.
