The Antelope Rams (Wellton, AZ) basketball edged the visiting Maryvale Prep Matador (Phoenix, AZ), 54-51 in Friday's league bout.

The Rams now possess a 2-4 record. They play next when they travel to Sequoia Pathway Academy for a 1A West bout on Tuesday, December 17. Antelope will play a Pumas team coming off a 73-32 league loss to Salome (Salome, AZ). The Pumas record now stands at 0-5.

With the loss, Maryvale Prep falls to 0-6 on the campaign. The Matador travel to Bagdad (Bagdad, AZ) to play the Sultans in a 1A West bout on Tuesday, December 17. The Sultans go into the bout with a record of 9-3. Bagdad won 55-37 in their recent league bout against San Pasqual Valley (Winterhaven, CA)
