The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Northeastern Clinton Cougars (Champlain, NY) and the host Moriah Vikings (Port Henry, NY), observed Northeastern Clinton's basketball team knock off Moriah by a score of 45-34.

The Cougars (6-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Plattsburgh (Plattsburgh, NY). The Hornets come into the Section 7 Champlain Valley challenge with a 5-11 record. In their last challenge, Plattsburgh prevailed over Northern Adirondack (Ellenburg Depot, NY), 50-37, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Vikings battle the Saranac Lake Red Storm (Saranac Lake, NY) in a Section 7 Champlain Valley challenge, on Tuesday, February 4. Moriah will attempt to improve on its 13-4 season record. The Red Storm come into the challenge with a 1-16 record after their 57-9 league loss to Peru (Peru, NY).
