Pennsylvania High School Basketball - New Brighton overwhelmed by Quaker Valley

In Thursday's league test, the Quaker Valley Quakers (Leetsdale, PA) basketball squad trounced the visiting New Brighton Lions (New Brighton, PA), by a score of 78-6.

Next, the Quakers clash with the Lincoln Park Performing Arts (Midland, PA) in a non-league test, on Sunday, February 2. Quaker Valley will attempt to improve on its 11-8 season record. The come into the test with a 4-12 record after their 74-27 league loss to Blackhawk (Beaver Falls, PA).

The Lions (0-15) will now prepare for their test against Our Lady of the Sacred Heart (Coraopolis, PA). The Chargers come into the WPIAL 3A 1 test with a 17-2 record. In their last test, Our Lady of the Sacred Heart bounced Riverside (Ellwood City, PA), 56-40, in a league test.
