Pennsylvania High School Basketball - New Brighton overwhelmed by Quaker Valley

In Wednesday's league test, the Quaker Valley Quakers (Leetsdale, PA) basketball squad trounced the host New Brighton Lions (New Brighton, PA), by a score of 65-5.

Next, the Quakers encounter the Mohawk Area Warriors (Bessemer, PA) in a WPIAL 3A 1 test, on Thursday, January 9. Quaker Valley will attempt to improve on its 5-6 season record.

The Lions (0-8) will now prepare for their test against Our Lady of the Sacred Heart (Coraopolis, PA). The Chargers come into the WPIAL 3A 1 test with a 10-2 record. In their last test, Our Lady of the Sacred Heart bounced Riverside (Ellwood City, PA), 50-41, in a league test.
