The Sutton Mustangs basketball team scored 45 points and limited the visiting Sandy Creek Cougars to 42 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Mustangs now possess a 13-5 record. They play next when they host Wilber-Clatonia for a non-league game on Monday, February 3. Sutton will play a Wolverines team coming off a 80-20 non-league loss to Milford (Milford, NE). The Wolverines record now stands at 0-19.

With the loss, Sandy Creek falls to 11-6 on the campaign. The Cougars host Fillmore Central (Geneva, NE) to play the Panthers in a non-league game on Tuesday, February 11. The Panthers go into the game with a record of 3-12. Fillmore Central lost 57-40 in their recent non-league game against Tri County (DeWitt, NE)
