Fans at Thursday's league battle between the Sunnyside Blue Devils (Tucson, AZ) and the host Tucson High Magnet School Badgers (Tucson, AZ), saw Sunnyside's soccer squad hold off Tucson High Magnet School by a count of 3-2.

The Blue Devils (17-3) will now prepare for their battle against Marana (Tucson, AZ). The Tigers enter the 6A South battle with a 1-15 record. In their last battle, Marana was edged by Rincon/University (Tucson, AZ), 5-1, in a league battle.

Next up, the Badgers confront the Rincon/University Rangers (Tucson, AZ) in a 6A South battle, on Monday, February 3. Tucson High Magnet School will attempt to upgrade on its 2-9 season record. The Rangers enter the battle with a 7-8 record after their 5-1 league win over Marana (Tucson, AZ).
