Crestview Cougars (Ashland, OH) boosters left the game thrilled Friday as they saw their basketball team bounce the host Mapleton Mounties (Ashland, OH), 84-45 in a league game.

The Cougars now have a 7-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host South Central for a Firelands outing on Thursday, February 5. Crestview will confront a Trojans team coming off a 57-53 non-league loss to St. Mary Central Catholic (Sandusky, OH). The Trojans record now stands at 8-9.

With the loss, Mapleton falls to 1-13 on the campaign. The Mounties host Northwestern (West Salem, OH) to confront the Huskies in a non-league outing on Saturday, January 31. The Huskies enter the outing with a record of 1-15. Northwestern lost 53-18 in their recent league outing against Norwayne (Creston, OH)
