The Mapleton Mounties basketball team (Ashland, OH), was routed 63-38 in Saturday's league challenge with the host Crestview Cougars (Ashland, OH)

The Cougars (2-4) will now prepare for their battle against South Central (Greenwich, OH). The Trojans enter the Firelands battle with a 5-3 record. In their last battle, South Central walloped Buckeye Central (New Washington, OH), 60-56, in a non-league battle.

The Mounties now own a 0-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. Paul for a Firelands battle on Saturday, December 27. Mapleton will meet a Flyers squad coming off a 58-53 league loss to New London (New London, OH). The Flyers record now stands at 4-4.
