Atlantic Trojans (Atlantic, IA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Red Oak Tigers (Red Oak, IA), 77-75 in a league bout.

With the win, Atlantic upgrades its record to 7-11 on the season. The Trojans travel to Denison-Schleswig (Denison, IA) to play the Monarchs in a Hawkeye Ten bout on Friday, February 3. The Monarchs go into the bout with a record of 11-4. Denison-Schleswig lost 47-40 in their recent non-league bout against Spencer (Spencer, IA)

Next up, the Tigers play the Nodaway Valley Wolverines (Greenfield, IA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 2. Red Oak will attempt to upgrade on its 5-11 season record. The Wolverines go into the bout with a 11-10 record after their 64-59 league loss to Mount Ayr (Mount Ayr, IA).
