In Tuesday's league outing, the Holyoke Purple Knights (Holyoke, MA) basketball squad edged the host Central Golden Eagles (Springfield, MA), by a count of 81-77.
The Purple Knights (6-6) will now prepare for their outing against Longmeadow (Longmeadow, MA). The Lancers go into the Valley outing with a 8-5 record. In their last outing, Longmeadow held off Commerce (Springfield, MA), 68-32, in a league outing.
The Golden Eagles now hold a 10-4 record. They play next when they travel to Putnam Vo-Tech for a Valley outing on Friday, February 3. Central will clash with a Beavers squad coming off a 69-55 league win over Holyoke (Holyoke, MA). The Beavers record now stands at 8-6.
