Central Golden Eagles (Springfield, MA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Holyoke Purple Knights (Holyoke, MA), 81-67 in a league bout.

With the win, Central upgrades its record to 6-1 on the season. The Golden Eagles host Windsor (Windsor, CT) to clash with the Warriors in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 12. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 8-1. Windsor won 100-47 in their recent non-league bout against Bristol Central (Bristol, CT)

Next up, the Purple Knights clash with the West Springfield Terriers (West Springfield, MA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 13. Holyoke will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record.
