Virginia High School Basketball - Franklin County can't hold off William Byrd

The William Byrd Terriers basketball team scored 47 points and held the host Franklin County Eagles to 42 in the Terriers league triumph on Tuesday.
The Terriers now sport a 10-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Northside for a Blue Ridge contest on Friday, February 3. William Byrd will battle a Vikings team coming off a 73-31 league win over Staunton River (Moneta, VA). The Vikings record now stands at 19-0.
The Eagles (10-10) will now prepare for their contest against Lord Botetourt (Daleville, VA). The Cavaliers enter the Blue Ridge contest with a 11-8 record. In their last contest, Lord Botetourt was nudged by Fleming (Roanoke, VA), 61-54, in a league contest.
