The Franklin County Eagles basketball team (Rocky Mount, VA), was nudged 60-59 in Friday's league battle with the host William Byrd Terriers (Vinton, VA)

The Terriers now sport a 11-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Northside for a Blue Ridge battle on Monday, February 13. William Byrd will battle a Vikings team coming off a 60-52 league win over Franklin County (Rocky Mount, VA). The Vikings record now stands at 22-0.

The Eagles (10-13) will now prepare for their battle against Thomas Dale (Chester, VA). The Knights come into the non-league battle with a 7-14 record.
