Texas High School Basketball - Highlands can't hold off Lanier

The Lanier Voks basketball team scored 58 points and held the host Highlands Owls to 53 in the Voks league triumph on Tuesday.
The Voks now sport a 11-17 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to MacArthur for a 5A Region IV District 27 contest on Friday, February 3. Lanier will battle a Brahmas team coming off a 58-47 league loss to Jefferson (San Antonio, TX). The Brahmas record now stands at 4-25.
The Owls (17-10) will now prepare for their contest against Burbank (San Antonio, TX). The Bulldogs enter the 5A Region IV District 27 contest with a 3-19 record. In their last contest, Burbank was nudged by Alamo Heights (San Antonio, TX), 86-43, in a league contest.
