Lake Forest Academy Caxys (Lake Forest, IL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Latin Romans (Chicago, IL), 49-48 in a league bout.

With the win, Lake Forest Academy upgrades its record to 10-11 on the season. The Caxys travel to Morgan Park Academy (Chicago, IL) to play the Warriors in a Independent School bout on Friday, February 3. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 5-16. Morgan Park Academy lost 70-47 in their recent non-league bout against Yeshiva (Skokie, IL)

Next up, the Romans play the Elgin Academy Hilltoppers (Elgin, IL) in a Independent School bout, on Thursday, February 2. Latin will attempt to upgrade on its 14-12 season record. The Hilltoppers go into the bout with a 12-13 record after their 60-57 league loss to North Shore Country Day (Winnetka, IL).
