North Carolina High School Basketball - Pinecrest routs Lee County

In Tuesday's league outing, the Pinecrest Patriots (Southern Pines, NC) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Lee County Yellow Jackets (Sanford, NC), by a margin of 79-36.

The Patriots (12-8) will now prepare for their outing against Scotland (Laurinburg, NC). The Fighting Scots go into the 3A/4A Conference 24 outing with a 16-4 record. In their last outing, Scotland smashed Pinecrest (Southern Pines, NC), 67-65, in a league outing.

The Yellow Jackets now own a 7-12 record. They play next when they travel to Richmond for a 3A/4A Conference 24 outing on Friday, February 3. Lee County will clash with a Raiders squad coming off a 74-57 league win over Union Pines (Cameron, NC). The Raiders record now stands at 18-2.
