Maryland High School Basketball - Mt. Zion Prep Academy can't hold off Springdale Prep

The Springdale Prep Lions basketball team scored 66 points and held the visiting Mt. Zion Prep Academy Warriors to 61 in the Lions league triumph on Tuesday.

The Lions now sport a 14-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Highland for a VISAA Division II outing on Thursday, February 2. Springdale Prep will clash with a Hawks squad coming off a 67-66 non-league win over Blue Ridge (St. George, VA). The Hawks record now stands at 21-2.

The Warriors now own a 17-13 record. They play next when they travel to Shining Star Sports Academy for a non-league outing on Wednesday, February 1. Mt. Zion Prep Academy will clash with a Panthers squad coming off a 69-53 non-league win over North Florida Educational Institute (Jacksonville, FL). The Panthers record now stands at 13-8.
