Mt. Zion Prep Academy Warriors (Lanham, MD) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Springdale Prep Lions (New Windsor, MD), 56-44 in a league bout.

With the win, Mt. Zion Prep Academy upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Warriors host Lanham Christian (Lanham, MD) to clash with the Lions in a Maryland Independent bout on Friday, December 2. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 2-0. Lanham Christian won 63-53 in their recent non-league bout against National Christian Academy White (Fort Washington, MD)

Next up, the Lions clash with the Rosedale Christian Academy (Winchester, VA) in a bout, on Thursday, December 1. Springdale Prep will attempt to upgrade on its 2-1 season record.
