Iowa High School Basketball - Winterset nips North Polk

Winterset Huskies (Winterset, IA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting North Polk Comets (Alleman, IA), 59-54 in a league bout.
With the win, Winterset upgrades its record to 13-6 on the season. The Huskies travel to A-D-M (Adel, IA) to play the Tigers in a Raccoon River bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 7-8. A-D-M won 78-50 in their recent non-league bout against Denison-Schleswig (Denison, IA)
Next up, the Comets play the Ballard Bombers (Huxley, IA) in a Raccoon River bout, on Friday, February 3. North Polk will attempt to upgrade on its 12-4 season record. The Bombers go into the bout with a 7-8 record after their 66-51 league win over Gilbert (Gilbert, IA).
