Iowa High School Basketball - Winterset tipped by North Polk

The North Polk Comets basketball team scored 69 points and held the host Winterset Huskies to 67 in the Comets league triumph on Tuesday.
The Comets now sport a 5-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ballard for a Raccoon River contest on Tuesday, January 3. North Polk will meet a Bombers team coming off a 60-57 league win over Gilbert (Gilbert, IA). The Bombers record now stands at 5-2.
The Huskies (4-3) will now prepare for their contest against Martensdale-St. Mary's (Martensdale, IA). The Blue Devils enter the non-league contest with a 1-6 record. In their last contest, Martensdale-St. Mary's was nudged by Mormon Trail (Garden Grove, IA), 64-32, in a non-league contest.
