The Palestine Wildcats basketball team scored 77 points and restricted the visiting Rusk Eagles to 52 in the Wildcats league victory on Tuesday.

The Wildcats now sport a 18-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Jacksonville for a 4A Region III District 18 contest on Friday, February 3. Palestine will battle a Fightin' Indians team coming off a 61-44 league win over Bullard (Bullard, TX). The Fightin' Indians record now stands at 19-8.

The Eagles (7-19) will now prepare for their contest against Hudson (Lufkin, TX). The Hornets come into the 4A Region III District 18 contest with a 14-16 record. In their last contest, Hudson triumphed over Madisonville (Madisonville, TX), 51-41, in a league contest.
