The St. Rose Purple Roses basketball team scored 60 points and held the visiting Point Pleasant Boro Panthers to 39 in the Purple Roses non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Purple Roses now sport a 16-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Christian Brothers Academy for a non-league contest on Saturday, February 4. St. Rose will battle a Colts team coming off a 54-47 league win over Howell (Farmingdale, NJ). The Colts record now stands at 11-5.

The Panthers (11-6) will now prepare for their contest against Point Pleasant Beach (Point Pleasant Beach, NJ). The Garnet Gulls enter the non-league contest with a 5-5 record. In their last contest, Point Pleasant Beach triumphed over Henry Hudson (Highlands, NJ), 83-71, in a league contest.
