Mt. Zion Eagles (Mt. Zion, GA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Bowdon Red Devils (Bowdon, GA), 59-17 in a league bout.

With the victory, Mt. Zion upgrades its record to 19-5 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Christian Heritage (Dalton, GA) to play the Lions in a A D2 Region 7A bout on Friday, February 3. The Lions come into the bout with a record of 11-10. Christian Heritage won 1-0 in their recent non-league bout against Atlanta Classical Academy (Atlanta, GA)

Next up, the Red Devils play the Greenforest Eagles (Decatur, GA) in a A D2 Region 7B bout, on Thursday, February 2. Bowdon will attempt to upgrade on its 1-15 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 7-11 record after their 42-34 non-league loss to Paideia (Atlanta, GA).
