Mt. Zion Eagles (Mt. Zion, GA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Bowdon Red Devils (Bowdon, GA), 58-32 in a league bout.

With the win, Mt. Zion upgrades its record to 13-3 on the season. The Eagles travel to Haralson County (Tallapoosa, GA) to play the Rebels in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 7. The Rebels go into the bout with a record of 5-9. Haralson County lost 40-39 in their recent league bout against Murray County (Chatsworth, GA)

Next up, the Red Devils play the Atlanta Classical Academy Cavaliers (Atlanta, GA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 6. Bowdon will attempt to upgrade on its 0-7 season record. The Cavaliers go into the bout with a 2-3 record after their 40-25 non-league loss to Providence Christian Academy (Lilburn, GA).
