In Tuesday's league match, the host Salem Spartans basketball team scored a good 54-45 triumph over the Cave Spring Knights.
In their next game, the Spartans meet the Glenvar Highlanders (Salem, VA) in a non-league match, on Friday, February 3. Salem will attempt to better on its 14-6 season record. The Highlanders enter the match with a 10-10 record after their 64-44 league loss to Floyd County (Floyd, VA).
