The Center Roughriders basketball team (Center, TX), was overwhelmed 66-31 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Gilmer Buckeyes (Gilmer, TX)
The Buckeyes now possess a 21-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Chapel Hill for a 4A Region III District 17 battle on Friday, February 3. Gilmer will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 43-37 league loss to Spring Hill (Longview, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 19-9.
The Roughriders (12-14) will now prepare for their battle against Henderson (Henderson, TX). The Lions come into the 4A Region III District 17 battle with a 4-22 record. In their last battle, Henderson was overwhelmed by Carthage (Carthage, TX), 63-36, in a league battle.
