The Center Roughriders basketball team (Center, TX), was overwhelmed 56-26 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Gilmer Buckeyes (Gilmer, TX)
The Buckeyes now possess a 15-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Chapel Hill for a 4A Region III District 17 battle on Tuesday, January 10. Gilmer will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 53-20 league win over Spring Hill (Longview, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 16-6.
The Roughriders (5-11) will now prepare for their battle against Henderson (Henderson, TX). The Lions come into the 4A Region III District 17 battle with a 4-15 record. In their last battle, Henderson was overwhelmed by Carthage (Carthage, TX), 49-24, in a league battle.
