North Carolina High School Basketball - East Wake Academy edges Franklin Academy

The East Wake Academy Eagles (Zebulon, NC) basketball nipped the host Franklin Academy Patriots (Wake Forest, NC), 42-39 in Tuesday's league test.

The Eagles (7-8) will now prepare for their test against NCSSM: Durham (Durham, NC). The Unicorns go into the 1A/2A Conference 12 test with a 13-4 record. In their last test, NCSSM: Durham was tipped by Falls Lake (Creedmoor, NC), 56-41, in a league test.

The Patriots now own a 8-15 record. They play next when they travel to Research Triangle for a 1A/2A Conference 12 test on Friday, February 3. Franklin Academy will encounter a Raptors squad coming off a 59-14 non-league loss to J.F. Webb (Oxford, NC). The Raptors record now stands at 1-18.
