North Carolina High School Basketball - Enka knocked off by McDowell

The McDowell Titans basketball team scored 54 points and held the visiting Enka Jets to 42 in the Titans league triumph on Tuesday.

The Titans now sport a 13-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Asheville for a 3A/4A Conference 53 contest on Friday, February 3. McDowell will meet a Cougars team coming off a 49-45 league win over T.C. Roberson (Asheville, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 19-1.

The Jets (1-21) will now prepare for their contest against North Buncombe (Weaverville, NC). The Black Hawks enter the 3A/4A Conference 53 contest with a 9-11 record. In their last contest, North Buncombe ran past Madison (Marshall, NC), 55-43, in a non-league contest.
