Utah High School Basketball - Wasatch Academy overwhelmed by Merit Preparatory Academy

The Wasatch Academy Tigers basketball team (Mt. Pleasant, UT), was routed 45-18 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Merit Preparatory Academy Knights (Springville, UT)

The Knights now sport a 9-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Maeser Prep Academy for a 2A Region 18 battle on Thursday, February 2. Merit Preparatory Academy will battle a Lions team coming off a 50-13 league win over Utah Military Academy - Camp Williams (Lehi, UT). The Lions record now stands at 7-10.

The Tigers (0-11) will now prepare for their battle against Rockwell (Eagle Mountain, UT). The Marshals come into the 2A Region 18 battle with a 13-7 record. In their last battle, Rockwell trounced Freedom Prep Academy (Provo, UT), 77-55, in a league battle.
