Utah High School Basketball - Merit Preparatory Academy thwarts Wasatch Academy

The Merit Preparatory Academy Knights (Springville, UT) basketball knocked off the visiting Wasatch Academy Tigers (Mt. Pleasant, UT), 43-33 in Tuesday's league test.
The Knights (11-11) will now prepare for their test against Freedom Prep Academy (Provo, UT). The Eagles go into the 2A Region 18 test with a 1-12 record. In their last test, Freedom Prep Academy went down by Maeser Prep Academy (Lindon, UT), 69-53, in a league test.
The Tigers now own a 0-13 record. They play next when they host Utah Military Academy - Camp Williams for a 2A Region 18 test on Thursday, February 9. Wasatch Academy will encounter a Marauders squad coming off a 40-0 league loss to American Heritage (American Fork, UT). The Marauders record now stands at 2-11.
