Parker Thundering Herd (Birmingham, AL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Minor Tigers (Adamsville, AL), 55-47 in a league bout.

With the win, Parker upgrades its record to 19-4 on the season. The Thundering Herd host Pleasant Grove (Pleasant Grove, AL) to clash with the Spartans in a non-league bout on Friday, February 3. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 14-2. Pleasant Grove won 53-52 in their recent league bout against Wenonah (Birmingham, AL)

Next up, the Tigers clash with the Pelham Panthers (Pelham, AL) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, February 1. Minor will attempt to upgrade on its 14-8 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 15-13 record after their 58-48 non-league loss to Chelsea (Chelsea, AL).
