In Tuesday's league match, the visiting Monomoy Sharks basketball team scored a decisive 49-24 triumph over the Nantucket Whalers.
In their next game, the Sharks meet the Bourne Canalmen (Bourne, MA) in a non-league match, on Sunday, February 19. Monomoy will attempt to move on its 8-3 season record.
With the defeat, Nantucket moves to 2-12 on the year. The Whalers host Cape Cod Academy (Osterville, MA) to meet the Seahawks in a Cape & Islands match on Tuesday, February 7. The Seahawks enter the match with a record of 1-6. Cape Cod Academy lost 37-23 in their recent league match against Martha's Vineyard Regional (Oak Bluffs, MA)
