Texas High School Basketball - Waskom knocked off by Tatum

The Tatum Eagles basketball team scored 53 points and held the host Waskom Wildcats to 41 in the Eagles league triumph on Tuesday.

The Eagles now sport a 16-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host West Rusk for a 3A Region II District 16 contest on Friday, February 3. Tatum will battle a Raiders team coming off a 41-37 league loss to Jefferson (Jefferson, TX). The Raiders record now stands at 15-16.

The Wildcats (17-11) will now prepare for their contest against Troup (Troup, TX). The Tigers enter the 3A Region II District 16 contest with a 11-17 record. In their last contest, Troup ran past Elysian Fields (Elysian Fields, TX), 38-19, in a league contest.
