Texas High School Basketball - Waskom can't hold off Tatum

The Tatum Eagles basketball team scored 38 points and held the visiting Waskom Wildcats to 34 in the Eagles league triumph on Thursday.

The Eagles now sport a 10-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Rusk for a 3A Region II District 16 contest on Tuesday, January 10. Tatum will battle a Raiders team coming off a 40-37 league loss to Jefferson (Jefferson, TX). The Raiders record now stands at 12-13.

The Wildcats (11-7) will now prepare for their contest against Troup (Troup, TX). The Tigers enter the 3A Region II District 16 contest with a 10-12 record. In their last contest, Troup nudged Elysian Fields (Elysian Fields, TX), 51-19, in a league contest.
