The Monte Vista Monarchs basketball team (Spring Valley, CA), was overwhelmed 61-17 in Tuesday's league battle with the host El Capitan Vaqueros (Lakeside, CA)

The Vaqueros now possess a 13-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mount Miguel for a battle on Friday, February 3.

The Monarchs (0-7) will now prepare for their battle against Grossmont (El Cajon, CA). The Foothillers come into the battle with a 0-10 record. In their last battle, Grossmont was overwhelmed by El Capitan (Lakeside, CA), 52-8, in a league battle.
