The New Hanover Wildcats (Wilmington, NC) basketball crushed the visiting Laney Buccaneers (Wilmington, NC), 53-25 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Wildcats (11-2) will now prepare for their test against Topsail (Hampstead, NC). The Pirates go into the non-league test with a 7-11 record. In their last test, Topsail walloped Wayne Preparatory Academy (Goldsboro, NC), 40-32, in a non-league test.
The Buccaneers now own a 14-4 record. They play next when they host South Brunswick for a non-league test on Friday, February 3. Laney will encounter a Cougars squad coming off a 46-39 non-league loss to Whiteville (Whiteville, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 5-11.
