South El Monte Eagles (South El Monte, CA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Arroyo Knights (El Monte, CA), 41-34 in a league bout.

With the win, South El Monte upgrades its record to 11-15 on the season. The Eagles travel to El Monte (El Monte, CA) to clash with the Lions in a Mission Valley bout on Friday, February 2. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 2-26. El Monte lost 69-52 in their recent league bout against Marshall (Pasadena, CA)

Next up, the Knights clash with the Gabrielino Eagles (San Gabriel, CA) in a Mission Valley bout, on Friday, February 2. Arroyo will attempt to upgrade on its 11-13 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 16-10 record after their 60-38 league win over Rosemead (Rosemead, CA).
