East Hardy Cougars (Baker, WV) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Berkeley Springs Indians (Berkeley Springs, WV), 52-45 in a non-league bout.

With the win, East Hardy upgrades its record to 8-1 on the season. The Cougars host Pendleton County (Franklin, WV) to clash with the Wildcat in a Potomac Valley A bout on Thursday, February 1. The Wildcat go into the bout with a record of 6-5. Pendleton County won 81-46 in their recent league bout against Paw Paw (Paw Paw, WV)

Next up, the Indians clash with the Frankfort Falcons (Ridgeley, WV) in a Potomac Valley AA bout, on Monday, February 5. Berkeley Springs will attempt to upgrade on its 3-12 season record. The Falcons go into the bout with a 10-5 record after their 86-47 league win over Moorefield (Moorefield, WV).
