Hillhouse Academics (New Haven, CT) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host North Haven Nighthawks (North Haven, CT), 69-65 in a league bout.

With the win, Hillhouse upgrades its record to 11-3 on the season. The Academics host Guilford (Guilford, CT) to clash with the Grizzlies in a Southern Connecticut - Hammonasset bout on Friday, February 2. The Grizzlies go into the bout with a record of 4-8. Guilford won 62-55 in their recent non-league bout against Cheshire (Cheshire, CT)

Next up, the Nighthawks clash with the Cheshire Rams (Cheshire, CT) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 2. North Haven will attempt to upgrade on its 8-7 season record. The Rams go into the bout with a 3-11 record after their 62-55 non-league loss to Guilford (Guilford, CT).
