The Hondo Valley Eagles (Hondo, NM) basketball knocked off the host Lake Arthur Panthers (Lake Arthur, NM), 48-32 in Wednesday's non-league test.
The Eagles (5-9) will now prepare for their test against Hatch Valley (Hatch, NM). The Bears go into the non-league test with a 5-11 record. In their last test, Hatch Valley went down by Chaparral (Chaparral, NM), 44-43, in a non-league test.
The Panthers now own a 0-8 record. They play next when they travel to Elida for a non-league test on Thursday, February 1. Lake Arthur will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 75-46 league win over Gateway Christian (Roswell, NM). The Tigers record now stands at 9-10.
